The AISI 316L austenite stainless steel substrates 15 × 15 × 2 mm 3 in size were used in this experiment. The substrate surface was preliminary polished by abrasive machining using #1000 to #2500 sandpaper grit to obtain the profile roughness parameter R a of 0.12–0.14 μm matching the roughness class N 10.
En el sistema estadounidense AISI (American Iron and Steel Institute), los siguientes aceros se conocen con los números 316 y 316L: 1.4401 – X5CrNiMo17-12-2 (AISI 316) 1.4404 – X2CrNiMo17-12-2 (AISI 316L) 1.4435 – X2CrNiMo18-14-3 (AISI 316L) El AISI 316 y el AISI 316L describen aceros inoxidables austeníticos de cromo-níquel-molibdeno
Additive manufacturing (AM) has emerged as an outstanding technique for obtaining complex geometries and custom parts, without the material loss of conventional subtractive manufacturing processes. In this work, AISI 316L stainless steel specimens were fabricated by laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF), and its microstructure was characterized …
SAE 316L grade stainless steel, sometimes referred to as A4 stainless steel or marine grade stainless steel, is the second most common austenitic stainless steel after 304/A2 stainless steel. Its primary alloying constituents after iron, are chromium (between 16–18%), nickel (10–12%) and molybdenum (2–3%), with small (<1%) quantities of silicon, …
AISI 316 and AISI 316L are the international designations for the following grades: 1.4401 – X5CrNiMo17-12-2 (AISI 316) 1.4404 – X2CrNiMo17-12-2 (AISI 316L) 1.4435 – X2CrNiMo18-14-3 (AISI 316L) The AISI 316 and AISI 316L describes stainless, austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels which have good resistance in non-oxidizing acids and

Summary. AISI 316 belongs to the austenitic stainless steel class. The addition of the alloying elements brings high corrosion resistance by the formation of a protective oxide layer on the material surface, with good ductility and thoughness. AISI 316L has lower C content, which improves the resistance to intergranular corrosion.
Heat and plastic forming processes for 1.4404, 1.4401, AISI 316/316L steel. Hot forming at 1150 - 900℃. Supersaturation at 1050 - 1100℃ with water or air cooling. In the above-mentioned grades we supply companies with: Peeled and drawn bars F316, F316L. Stainless steel and spring bands strips. Stainless steel wires on spools or in coils.
Milton et al. studied the microstructure of DED AISI 316L and revealed that Cr and Ni equivalent contents lie in the range of 5–10% δ-ferrite []. Zietala et al. also investigated DED of AISI 316L and found that intercellular δ-ferrite formed at sub-grain boundaries as a].
Rectangular coupons measuring approximately 50 mm × 60 mm × 4 mm in thickness were machined from AISI 316L and AISI 321H stainless steel from Acerinox Europa and ACCIAITERNI (Italy), respectively. Before corrosion tests, the coupons were ground with 320-grit SiC abrasive paper using a grinding wheel, and then degreased by …
